Heavyweight Andrew Golota was injured while training at the Windy City Gym in Chicago yesterday. His sparring partner hit him with a left hook that caused his head gear to stretch and tear his right eyelid. Dr. Gregory Turowski administered treatment at the New Horizon clinic in Skokie, Il., which included eight stitches inside the eyelid and 10 stitches to the outside of the eyelid.
