Middleweight Tureano “Reno” Johnson moved to 15-1, 10 KOs with a ten round unanimous decision over previously unbeaten local hero Mike Gavronski (14-1-1, 10 KOs) on Friday night at the Little Creek Casino in Shelton, Washington. Gavronski got off to a good start, but Johnson took over and went on to win 99-91 on all three cards.
Lightweight Jonathan “Inca Peruano” Maicelo (18-1, 11 KOs) pounded out a ten round split decision over WBO #11, WBA #13 rated Art “Lionheart” Hovhannisyan (17-2-2, 9 KOs). Maicelo outworked Hovhannisyan to win by scores of 100-90, 97-93 on two cards. Hovhannisyan was up 96-94 on a very questionable third card.
