Clottey defeats Mundine, drops «The Man» 5 times in one-sided match

In a clash of former world champions, Joshua Clottey (38-4, 22 KOs) outclassed and punished the self-proclaimed “best ever” Anthony Mundine (46-6, 27 KOs), scoring five knockdowns in a one-sided twelve round unanimous decision in a jr middleweight clash on Wednesday night at the Entertainment Centre, Newcastle, NSW, Australia. In his first meaningful fight in four years, Clottey took the fight to Mundine, dropping him for the first time in round three. Clottey continued to attack, flooring Mundine twice in round six. Clottey scored his fourth knockdown in round eight. Mundine was down yet again in round ten, however “The Man” showed tremendous courage in taking his beating like a man for the full twelve. Scores were 116-108, 115-109, 117-108.
