WBA #3 cruiserweight Denis Lebedev (23-1, 17 KOs) dominated 43-year-old multi-division world champion and WBA #4 rated James Toney (73-7-3, 44 KOs) on Friday night at the Khodynka Ice Palace in Moscow to claim the WBA interim cruiserweight belt. Lebedev battered the badly faded Toney in every round en route to a shut out twelve round unanimous decision. Lebedev continued his “legends tour” after previously knocking out Roy Jones Jr. in the same city in his previous fight. Meanwhile, Toney indicated he wants a rematch. “I will see him again,” he stated, “trust me.”
