In a non-title super lightweight fight, former WBC super featherweight and lightweight world champion Humberto “Zorrita” Soto (56-7-2, 33 KOs) scored an explosive second round TKO over former WBA lightweight world titlist Jose “Quiebra Jicara” Alfaro (25-7, 22 KOs) at the Estadio Centenario in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. After being cut by a headbutt in round one, an enfuriated Soto launched a violent barrage of punches in round two that had Alfaro in trouble and turning his back to quit. The bout was then waved off.
