Former welterweight champion Andre Berto could return on September 3 against IBF beltholder Jan Zaveck. Berto (27-1, 21KOs) vs. Zaveck (31-1, 18KOs) would be televised by HBO. Zaveck sole loss came in 2008, by way of a close split decision to Rafal Jackiewicz, which Zaveck later avenged in 2010. Berto would return for the first time since suffering the sole blemish on his record, which came in April when he dropped a twelve round unanimous decision to Victor Ortiz.
