WBA middleweight champion Felix Sturm and challenger Matthew Macklin both made weight at today’s official weigh-in for their world title showdown tomorrow night at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany. Sturm easily made the 160 pound limit, tipping the scale at 158lbs/72.1kg. Macklin weighed in at 159lbs/72.4kg. Both fighters looked to be in tremendous physical shape and ready to go. The Sturm-Macklin bout can be seen live on EPIX and EpixHD.com tomorrow at 5pm/et. SAT.1 will broadcast the fight in Germany, SkySports in Great Britain.
