Cruiserweight Anatoliy Dudchenko (12-2, 8 KOs) won a methodical six round unanimous decision over Michael Simms (21-14-2, 13 KOs) at the Warner Center Marriott in Woodland Hills, CA. At times methodical, Dudchenko landed the more effective punches while Simms attempted to counter with one punch. All three judges scored the bout in favor of Dudchenko, with scores of 60-54, 60-54, and 59-55.
In an all-out war, lightweights Gabriel Tolmajyan (10-1-1, 3 KOs) and Juan Suazo (7-4-3, 5 KOs) fought to a six round unanimous decision draw. Both fighters were cut and had their moments in a fight that had the crowd on their feet in the last round. All three judges scored the bout 57-57.
Cruiserweight Medzhi Bertekmirov (5-0, 5 KOs) annihilated Joe Broken Rope (2-3) in the first round of a scheduled four round bout. Bertekmirov dropped Broken Rope twice before referee Jose Cobian stopped the bout at 1:56.
Welterweight Hugo Centeno (8-0, 6 KOs) was in total control over Kelly Wright (4-7) throughout four rounds, winning a unanimous decision. Referee Thomas Taylor deducted two points from Wright in the fourth round for holding. All three judges scored the bout 40-34 in favor of Centeno. >
Super bantamweight Ivan Castaneda (2-1, 1 KO) won a four round unanimous decision over Gustavo Rojas, who was making his professional debut. All three judges scored the bout in favor of Castaneda, with scores of 39-37, 39-37, and 40-36
Lightweight Andres Reyes (2-1-2) won a four round majority decision over Edther Arvizu (0-2). The action was close in some rounds, but Reyes landed the more effective punches. One judge scored the 38-38, but the other two judges scored the bout 40-36 in favor of Reyes.
Cruiserweight Ilshat Khusnulgatin (2-0) survived a first round knockdown to win a four round unanimous decision over Harry Gopaul (0-2). Khusnulgatin dropped Gopaul in the third round. All three judges scored the bout in favor of Khusnulgatin by scores of 39-36, 39-36, and 40-36.
Featherweight Erik Ruiz, who is trained by Robert Garcia, had a successful professional debut, stopping Shaun Solomon (1-4-1) in the fourth and final round. Ruiz landed an accumulation of punches on a defenseless Solomon, prompting referee Thomas Taylor to stop the bout at 1:52.
