Konecny retains Euro 154lb belt

Fighting in his hometown of Usti nad Labem, Czech Republic, European super welterweight champion Lukas Konecny (47-3, 22 KOs) hammered out a twelve round unanimous decision over mandatory Euro challenger Hussein Bayram (34-4, 19 KOs). Konecny pressured and outworked the taller Bayram throughout the fight, winning by scores of 119-109, 117-111, 118-110.

In a world title clash between unbeaten female middleweights, WBO/WBF champion Christina Hammer (10-0, 7 KOs) defended her belts with a ten round unanimous decision over Maria Lindberg (5-1-2, 1 KO). In a good action fight, Hammer did a little more to win 98-92, 97-93, 97-93.

The card was promoted by Ulf Steinforth’s SES Boxing.
