WBC #6 and IBF #14 and NABF light heavyweight champion Ismayl Sillakh (16-0, 13 KOs) scored a devastating third-round stoppage of Ugandan master Hamza Wandera (12-3-2, 11 KOs) in a non-title bout.
Sillakh, 26, was just way better than his awkward opponent. He played with him in the opening rounds just fooling the clumsy African boxer on his way out and punished him with strong counter right hands. In round three Wandera, 27, was forced to run for dear life with his back turned. He was soon down on a combination of hard blows by the Ukrainian. Referee Steve Smoger allowed the fight to go but soon stopped it nevertheless with Wandera being hit at will in the ropes. Time of stoppage was 1:59.
