Jakarta International Expo, Jakarta, Indonesia - In one of the biggest fights on Indonesian soil, Chris “The Dragon” John (45-0-2, 22KOs) and Daud “Cino” Yordan (27-2, 21KOs) battled it out for the WBA super world featherweight championship. John retained his title with a twelve round unanimous decision. Not having any fear of Yordan's power, John stood on the inside and fought it out with Yordan for nearly the entire fight. Yordan's face had swelling around both eyes by the tenth round. It was one of the better performances from John in a long time. He was a lot bigger and appeared to be physically stronger than Yordan, who was very game and continued to trade with the more experienced champion all night. The scores were 116-112, 116-112 and 117-111.
