Guadalajara featherweight Jorge Solis tipped the scale at 133.2 in his second day re-weigh for his challenge at the IBF Featherweight Championship against Yuriorkis Gamboa at The Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ. Gamboa did not participate in the mandatory re-weigh and will, in the event he wins tonight’s bout, give up the IBF title which would become vacant.
The WBA doesn’t require a re-weighing, so Gamboa would retain his WBA belt with a win tonight.
Also re-weighing were Jorge Solis Teon Kennedy 129.4 and Jorge Diaz 131 who meet in a twelve-rounder for the USBA super bantamweight (122lb) title.
