Alvarez to face Rhodes next

WBC President Jose Sulaiman announced today at his weekly press meeting in Mexico City that Ryan Rhodes has been named as the official challenger of WBC super welterweight champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez. Sulaiman also stated that the fight will take place in Alvarez’ backyard of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

Meanwhile, Alvarez was with thousands of young people at the Youth Expo 2011 sponsored by the Youth Institute in Boca del Rio, Veracruz, Mexico. Canelo spoke for about 60 minutes covering such topics as global warming, violence in the country, the unfortunate events in Japan and other interesting topics.
