Burgos annihilates Archuleta

WBC #4 featherweight Juan Carlos Burgos (26-1, 19 KOs) destroyed veteran Frankie Archuleta (27-8-1, 14 KOs) on Friday night at the Million Dollar Elm Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Burgos, who challenged for the WBC belt in his last fight, floored Archuleta three times in round two and the bout was stopped by referee Gerald Ritter. Time was 2:33.

Super middleweight Isaac Chilemba (16-1-1, 8 KOs) overcame two knockdowns to defeat previously unbeaten Maxim Vlasov (19-1, 10 KOs) by unanimous decision. Vlasov dropped Chelemba twice in round eight, but Chelemba hurt Vlasov at the end of the round. Scores were 95-94, 96-92, 96-92.

Bantamweight Simpiwe Vetyeka (22-1, 13 KOs) finished former IBF strawweight champion Roberto Leyva (27-13-1, KOs) with a body shot in round three.
