Mayorga: When I Brutally KO Cotto, The Ref Will Call 911!

Is there something new in the way of thinking or talking about Ricardo Mayorga (29-7, 23KOs) that might surprise us? Maybe not, but still we're interesting to see what he says, especially about his commitment on March 12 when he challenges Miguel Cotto (35-2, 28KOs), the current junior middleweight champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

"I think people will see one of the most impressive knockouts of 2011," said Mayorga. "I'm stronger, hit harder, throw more combinations. I have bigger pants than him and I'm fighting with someone who is weaker than me. I will knock him out in four rounds. If I can knock him out in the first or second, it would be better."

Moreover, Mayorga announced that after "I beat Cotto, I only want to have one more fight with Pacquiao or De La Hoya and then I want to retire from boxing."

“I want everyone to know that when I knock Miguel Cotto out, I will call him Miguel Mayorga, because he's going to become my son. I invite Pacquiao to take the time to go to Las Vegas and watch the knockout of Cotto. When Cotto drops, they are not going to count to 10, because when the referee doesn't see him move he's going to call 911 to take him to hospital."
