At the Sport and Congress Center in Schwerin, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany, German heavyweight Manuel Charr (16-0, 8 KOs) scored an uneventful and boring eight-round majority decision over proud American journeyman and upset specialist Zack Page (21-32-3, 7 KOs), who is much better than his record suggests. The fight was fought at close range with Charr being just a notch more active in a dull and lazy fight filled with clinches. Scores were 78-75, 78-74 and 76-76.

The televised co-feature saw 2008 Beijing heavyweight gold medalist Rakhim Chakhkiev (8-0, 6 KOs) being forced to go the distance for the second time in his pro career... and by the same opponent, Poland's Lukasz Rusiewicz (9-10, 2 KOs). As in their first fight, Chakhkiev easily dominated the rugged Pole but a granite chin and a physical prowess of the latter allowed Rusiewicz to go the full road. The Russian southpaw connected well with the left hand, his best weapon but sometimes he was too charged for a knockout and punched too wild to get the job done. Nevertheless, Chakhkiev scored a wipe-out 80-72 - on all judges' scorecards.

Former cruiserweight stalwart Juan Carlos Gomez (49-2, 36 KOs) got another easy victory as he stopped American journeyman Harold Scorniers (17-22-2, 11 KOs) in the fourth stanza. Gomez, who challenged Vitali Klitschko for the WBC heavyweight title, was ranked #11 by the WBC and #13 by the WBA coming into this fight.

Russian expatriate Eduard Trojanovskij (9-0, 7 KOs), now representing his new homeland of Germany, got his biggest win ever with a third-round TKO over a badly faded Pole Matt Zegan (42-6-2, 21 KOs). Zegan's corner indicated their fighter could no longer continue after three rounds of a complete drubbing off the hands of Trojanovskij, who acquired a vacant WBO Europe lightweight title. Despite being ranked #4 by the WBO, Zegan had severe problems dealing with trialhorses, professional losers and even recent debutants in 2010. In his previous fight he was defeated by 3-1 Boris Berg but later was awarded a gift draw after the scorecards had been re-evaluated.

Ukrainian heavyweight Taras Bidenko (27-4, 12 KOs) gave himself one more chance with a technically sound win over local Romanian Chistian Hammer (7-3, 4 KOs). Bidenko was unable to stop his opponent but cruised onto a pleasant six-round points victory. Hammer lost his second bout in a row.
