Miranda edges Simon

Middleweight Dionisio “Mister Nocaut” Miranda (21-6-2, 18 KOs) scored a twelve round split decision over Lajuan Simon (23-3-2, 12 KOs) on Friday night in the Rollins Center at the Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Dover, Delaware. Miranda outboxed Simon to win by scores of 115-112 and 115-113 on two cards, while Simon was up 115-114 on the third card. With his victory, Miranda claimed the WBC Continental Americas belt.

“Mighty” Mike Tiberi (15-1, 7 KOs) continued his rise by pounding out a hard fought but one sided six round unanimous decision over Marcus “The Barber” Hall (11-6, 4 KOs) in a middleweight bout. Scores were all 60-54 for Tiberi.

Heavyweight bomber Amir “Hardcore” Monsour (11-0, 8 KOs) hammered out cagey veteran Joseph Rabotte (9-15-1, 3 KOs) with a dynamite right hook at 1:04 of the third round in a scheduled eight round heavyweight bout.

Anthony “The Bull” Caputo Smith( (8-0, 6 KOs) destroyed Cleoney Fuqua Jr. (2-4, 2 KOs) with a left hook to the liver at :55 of the opening round of a four round light heavyweight bout.

Rachel “The Joker” Clark improved to 6-4-1, 3 KOs with a four round unanimous decision over Michelle “The Monster”Garland (0-1-1) in a four round female junior middleweight bout.

Dan “Bada Bing” Biddle (5-1, 4 KOs) avenged his sole setback with a four round unanimous decision over Zeferino Albino (3-12-2, 1 KO) in a cruiserweght bout.Scores were 40-36 and 39-37 (twice).
