Today WBA executive Vice President Gilberto Jesus Mendonza announced that WBA cruiserweight world champion Guillermo Jones will be defending his crown against Valery Brudov from Russia, with the fight landing at the Roberto Duran Arena in Panama City on October 2. The fight will be a part of the WBA’s KO Drugs fight night. After two years and one month since winning the belt, Jones would be making his first defense.
