Holyfield vs Williams in The Works For November 5

Boxing's only four-time heavyweight champion, Evander Holyfield (43-10-2, 28KOs), will make his ring return on November 5 against Sherman Williams (34-11-2, 19KOs). Holyfield turns 48 on October 19. Holyfield returns from a April knockout victory over former champion Francois Botha. Williams, 37, won nine of his last ten fights. Holyfield plans to target a title fight with WBC champion Vitali Klitschko.

"Sherman Williams is 5-foot-11, 260, and he's a pretty good fighter and it will be a tough little fight for Evander," said Holyfield's manager, Ken Sanders. "We haven't got all of the paperwork signed yet, but they're going to close out the arena this weekend, and we're going to work on the under card next week."

"Hopefully, after this fight, either in January, February or the first part of the year, we should be in a position to fight Vitali Klitschko. Hopefully, it will be Vitali. I've already talked to [WBC director] Jose Sulaiman, and he's already said that he would approve [Holyfield] to fight. We'd like to win the WBC belt first."
