“It’s going to be a devastating performance!,” exclaimed Devon Alexander (20-0, 13 KOs), when asked at today’s press conference how he was going to defeat Andriy Kotelnik (31-3-1, 13 KOs) at “Gateway to Greatness”, the Don King Promotions event to be held Saturday in St. Louis, Mo. Kotelnik responded to Alexander’s declaration by stating that, “I have a big surprise for him.”

Don King, when asked about the significance of Alexander’s title defense in St. Louis, explained it as “historic”. “Both U. S. Senators from Missouri will be here. The Governor will be here. I haven’t seen this kind of show of support for a fighter since Ali.”
