WBC/WBO bantamweight world champion Fernando Montiel (43-2-2, 33 KOs) scored an explosive third round KO over former interim super flyweight titlist Rafael Concepcion (14-5-2, 8 KOs) on Saturday night at the Palenque de la Feria in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico. Montiel dropped Concepcion twice in round two, then put him down for the count in round three. Time was 1:07.

Unbeaten super bantamweight Ramon Maas (21-0, 13 KOs) won a four round split decision over Carlos Penalosa (5-11-1, 3 KOs). No scores announced

Jr middleweight Michael Medina (24-2-2, 19 KOs) scored a fourth round TKO over Gilberto Hernandez (14-5, 10 KOs). A barrage of punches ended it at 1:49.

Lightweight Armando Roblez (13-1, 8 KOs) scored a third round TKO over Alejandro Mendez.

Bantamweight Juan “Lokito” Kantun (15-1-2, 12 KOs) stopped Paulino Villalobos (27-43-2, 16 KOs) in round seven.
