WBO jr welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (25-0, 11 KOs) moved up to welterweight to outbox previously unbeaten Luis Carlos Abregu (29-0, 23 KOs) over twelve rounds on Saturday night at the Agua Caliente Resort Rancho Mirage, California. Bradley was in command the entire fight as he compiled a 118-110, 117-111, 116-112 win.

Jr middleweight Alfredo Angulo (19-1, 16 KOs) scored a punishing first round TKO over former WBA jr middleweight Joachim Alcine (32-2-1, 19 KOs). Referee Lou Moret waved it off after 2:59 with Angulo punishing a hurt Alcine on the ropes.

Lightweight contender Antonio DeMarco impressively stopped former world title challenger Daniel Attah in the second round of a scheduled 10 round bout. After controlling the first round, DeMarco (24-2-1, 18 KO’s) dropped Attah in the second with an overhand left hand to the head. Attah (24-6-1, 8 KO’s) got up, but DeMarco pinned Attah against the ropes, landing at will until referee Raul Caiz, Jr. stopped the bout at 2:30.
Art Hovhannesyan remained unbeaten with an eight round unanimous decision over Cristian Favela. Hovhannessyan (12-0-1, 6 KO’s) was in control of the bout against Favela, who did very little in the first half of the fight. Favela (19-28-6, 10 KO’s) was busier as the bout progressed, landing counter right hands to the head. However, Hovhannessyan was the clear winner, winning by scores of 77-75, 77-75, and 78-74.

Super Featherweight Abraham Lopez remained unbeaten after his opponent, Willshaun Boxley, did not come out for the fourth round. Although Boxley (5-7, 3 KO’s) had his moments, it was all Lopez (12-0, 10 KO’s) as he controlled the action throughout the scheduled six round bout. Boxley’s corner told referee Raul Caiz, Jr. to stop the bout.

Featherweight Joel Diaz made a successful professional debut, stopping Rene Torrez in the second round of a scheduled four round bout. A left hook to the temple dropped Torrez (0-3-1) to one knee in the opening moments of the second round. Referee Jack Reiss counted Torre out at 23 seconds.

Junior Flyweight Gloria Salas (3-4-1, 1 KO) won a four round unanimous decision over Katarina De La Cruz. The shorter Salas was in control over most of the fight, but De La Cruz (0-4-1) was able to score with a few hard rights in the third round. Salas won the bout with scores of 40-36, 40-36, and 39-37.
