Judah destroys Santa Cruz

Former two-division world champion Zab Judah (39-6, 27 KOs), moving back to the jr welterweight division for the first time since 2003, scored an impressive third round TKO over Jose Armando Santa Cruz (28-5, 17 KOs) on Friday night at the Prudential Center, Newark, NJ. A left uppercut floored Santa Cruz in the third and the fight was waved off during Judah’s vicious follow up barrage. Time was 2:33.

Olympian welterweight Sadam Ali (8-0, 4 KOs) dropped Julius Edmonds (7-8) in rounds one and two, and the mismatch was waved off in round three. Time was 1:14.

Unbeaten welterweight Alex Perez (12-0, 7 KOs) outpointed Edvan Barros (10-10-1, 7 KOs) over eight by scores of 77-75, 78-74, 80-72.
