Andreas Evensen, the Norse of Colombian origin competing under P3 Boxing Promotions, retained his WBO I/C featherweight title with the sixth-round TKO over Argentinean journeman Jose Saez (17-10-4, 8 KOs) moments ago at Varuboden Areena in Kirkkonummi, Finland. The entire fight was speedy and full of wild punches; Evensen totally controlling a flux and a pace of the collision with more accurate and active punching. Saez was the toughest opponent of the show for all local fighters involved. In the midst of sixth round, Saez went down from the right-left combination to the body. After a count was issued, referee (on advice of the ringside doctor) stopped the fight because of a cut over the left eye of Saez. WBO #7 126lber Evensen (13-1, 5 KOs) now has four kayo wins in a row and will successively move up in the ranks after his initial title defense.

The whole show, staged by P3 Boxing, was sold out.

Comebacking former EBU middleweight champion Amin Asikainen (27-3, 18 KOs) took the fourth-round TKO victory over previously unbeaten Argentinean Darion Matorras (now 12-1, 7 KO). In the first round Asikainen hit only once with his right hand and would have been able to finish the bout already during the opening stanza over his poor opponent, but wanted to have more rounds and clearly let Argentinian to cover up.In the second, Matorras still looked like a debutant against Asikainen who dominated the fight mainly with the left hand. In the next stanza, Asikainen still let Matorras to cover up and wasn't even trying to knock his opponent out. Finally, in the fourth Asikainen floored Matorras with the single left to the body with a minute remaining. Soon after that, Amin's right hand to the face ended the fight when referee Anssi Peräjoki stepped in to halt the action.

Former and upcoming EBU-EU challenger Ville Piispanen (14-1-2, 5 KOs) took an easy and dominant victory over Mexican Luis Acevedo (19-10-1, 11 KOs). After the slow starting round which saw Ville controlling the opponent with his left jab, Piispanen heavily floored his opponent with the left uppercut in the midst of the second round. Piispanen will duke it out against Italian Emanuele De Prophetis (15-3, 9 KOs) for a vacant EBU-EU 140lb title next, on July 17 in Pordenon, Italy.

Female prospect Eva Wahlström (2-0, 1 KO) took clear unanimous decision over Hungarian Zsofia Bedo (2-15-1). Wahlström clearly won every round, but was forced to be careful with her right hand while breaking it in the first round (her hand has already been injured during a pre-fight training).

In a fight between two Finns, Sami Selesmaa (4-1, 2 KOs) took a clear unanimous decision over previously undefeated compatriot Petter Antman (5-1-1, 1 KO). Selesmaa was more active than his for throughout the entire fight, while Antman tried to connect with hard single punches. Welterweight prospect Jussi Koivula (5-0, 3 KOs) stoopped Estonian no-hoper Leonty Vorontchuk (19-46-1, 6 KOs) in three rounds.
