The self-proclaimed “most feared fighter in the world,” three-time world champion Paul “The Punisher” Williams (39-1, 27 KOs) won an unsatisfying split technical decision over former welterweight champion Kermit “The Killer” Cintron (32-3-1, 28 KOs) on Saturday night at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California. The much taller Williams fought from the outside while Cintron didn’t apply much pressure, content to pick his shots. In round four, the fighters got tangled up and Cintron fell through the ropes and out of the ring sustaining an apparent injury to his neck or right shoulder. He was taken from ringside on a stretcher. The judges scored the prematurely terminated bout 39-37, 40-36 Williams, 40-36 Cintron
