Undefeated welterweight prospect Saul Alvarez (31-0, 23KOs) of Mexico is going to fight Jose Miguel Cotto (31-1-1, 23KOs), the older brother of two-division champion Miguel Cotto, on the pay-per-view undercard of Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Shane Mosley on May 1 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

"He's a tough competitor, with experience, and a good record. He already fought twice for a world championship. He didn't win but they were good fights," said Alvarez to Televisa Deportes. "I think at this stage of my career I'm ready for these kinds of opponents."
