Arena Box Promotion plan to stage Selcuk Aydin against Luis Collazo for the WBC interim welterweight title at the end of May in Istanbul, Turkey. Arena won the purse bids last week with a bid for $210,000 USD.

Bullit Knockout Promotions in Poland have June 5 in Warzaw as working date for the fight for the vacant WBC cruiserweight title between Krzysztof Wlodarczyk and Giacobbe Fragomeni. Knockout won the right to stage the fight with a bid for 616 000 USD.

EBU flyweight champ Andrea Sarritizu makes a voluntary defense of the title April 9 in Quarto Sant Elena and takes on Frenchman Alain Bonnel.

Czech jr middleweight Lukas Konecny face Hungarian Attila Kovacs on Friday (March 12) in Prague with the Int´l Czech title at stake. The show is a charity event for the earth quake victims in Haiti. Konecny´s stablemate (SES) Tommy Antmann is also on the bill and face Bronislav Kubin.

A promotional outfit named Euro Asia Box Promotion have made public plans to get WBA middleweight champ Felix Sturm to defend the title against Gennadyi Golovkin May 15 in Kazachstan. EABP also states that if Sturm relinquishes the title (or is stripped) they want to do Golovkin against the highest available challenger. The problem is that Golovkin also is a Universum fighter and like Sturm involved in a contractual dispute.

Danish super middleweight Mads Larsen´s B test was also positive and Larsen now faces a fine and a suspension. Larsen lost to Brian Magee January 30 in Aarhus in a fight for the vacant EBU title and tested positive for a forbidden substance. Mads denies any wrongdoings. The forbidden substance is said to have been found in a diuretic.

Belorus heavyweight giant Alexander Ustinov will be on the undercard to Klitschko vs Chambers March 20 in Duesseldorf. Also on the bill is British veteran Michael Sprott, who´s working as a sparring for Klitschko and tells Boxing News it´s "tough" with the champion being in great shape.

Former EBU welterweight champ Christian Bladt face Scottish ruler Gary Young March 26 in Kjellerup on the undercard to Vester vs "Macho" Camacho.
