Former bantamweight champion Joseph Agbeko (27-2, 22KOs) informed BoxingScene.com about his planned IBF eliminator against Vusi Malinga (19-3, 12KOs) on April 16 in South Africa. Two fights ago, Malinga was drilled in one round by Japan's WBC bantamweight champion Hozumi Hasegawa. Agbeko is coming off a hard-fought decision loss to current IBF bantamweight champion Yonnhy Perez

Agbeko's goal is to get back in position for a rematch with Perez, who plans to fight Abner Mares on Israel Vazquez-Rafael Marquez card on May 22 in Los Angeles. Agbeko wants to replicate Hasegawa's drillling of Malinga.

"I want the people to know that I am coming back in style. I want to get my belt back from Perez," Agbeko told BoxingScene.com.
