BoxingScene.com was advised that negotiations are still ongoing to make a fight between WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto and top-rated junior welterweight Paulie Malignaggi. If a deal is struck, it would go forward on April 10 with HBO televising. The WaMu Theater in Madison Square Garden is still the target venue but the longer negotiations drag out, the less likely the fight will stay at that venue.
