Here are the PPV bouts announced today: Welterweight Jose Luis Castillo (60-9-1, 52 KOs), a two-time world champion currently ranked WBC #9 will take on Alfonso Gomez (21-4-2), ranked WBC #10, WBO #10, starred in the first season of ‘The Contender’ and is coming off a victory over Jesus Soto-Karass. Also middleweight contender John Duddy (28-1, 18 KOs) meets Michael Medina (22-1-2, 17 KOs). In addition, Top Rank will feature featherweight Salvador Sanchez (18-3-2, 8 KOs) on its international broadcast. Unbeaten super bantamweight Roberto Marroquin (11-0, 8 KOs) will also see action.

Castillo who is on full comeback mode looks forward to the opportunity to fight in a major card.

“I have been fighting very frequently over the last year and feel that I am ready to take on better and stronger opponents and I feel that Alfonso Gomez is a good quality opponent for me to show everyone that I can get back to world title contention a at either 140 or 147 pounds,” said Castillo.

Gomez, who has wins over the late Arturo Gatti and Jesus Soto Karass is looking for another big victory.

“I now its going to be a hard fight against Jose Luis Castillo, but I know I ready for it and will go home with another great victory on my record on March 13,” said Gomez.
