Jorge Arce is a world champion again. In a clash for the vacant WBO super flyweight championship, Arce (53-6-1, 40 KOs) scored a seven round technical decision over Angky Angkota (18-4, 9 KOs) on Saturday night at the Plaza de Toros Arroyo in Mexico City. Ankota spent most the fight pinned in his own corner with Arce getting the better of the exchanges. The bout was stopped after Ankota suffered a cut over his right eye from an accidental headbutt in round seven. The scorecards read 58-56, 60-54, 60-54 for Arce, who is now a four-time world title holder.
