Welterweight Euri “Millon” Gonzalez (20-1-1, 14 KOs) won a close twelve round majority decision over Cosme “Chino” Rivera (31-14-2, 23 KOs) on Friday night at the Miccosukee Resort & Gaming in Miami, Florida. Gonzalez survived a last round assault by Rivera to win 115-113, 115-113 and 114-114.

WBC interim super welterweight champion Sergio Martinez (44-1-2, 24 KOs) and former IBF welterweight champion Kermit Cintron (30-2-1, 27 KOs) battled to a twelve round majority draw. Martinez seemed wary of Cintron’s punching power, as he tried to outbox Kermit from the outside while avoiding exchanges, much to the disgust of the crowd. Former 154lb champion Winky Wright (49-3, 25 KOs) won a surprisingly easy twelve round unanimous decision over three-division champ Felix Trinidad (42-2, 35 KOs) on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Not much action in round one, which the southpaw Wright controlled. In round twom Wright landed almost everything he threw, while Tito managed to get in a few good body shots.
