Ward defeats Kessler

SHOWTIME’s acclaimed Super Six World Boxing Classic continued Saturday as undefeated Olympic gold medalist Andre “S.O.G.” Ward (21-0, 13 KOs) scored an eleventh round technical decision over WBA super middleweight champion Mikkel “Viking Warrior” Kessler (42-2, 32 KOs) at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif. Ward had the perfect game plan as he surprisingly dominated Kessler, whose face was busted up by unintentional headbutts and punches. Scores were 97-93, 98-92, 98-92.
