This time there was no question. IBO light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson (29-0, 17 KOs) defended his IBO belt and won the vacant WBC interim belt with a twelve round unanimous decision over Glen Johnson (49-13-2, 33 KOs) on Saturday night at the XL Center in Hartford, CT. Johnson tried to pressure Dawson, but Chad was too fast, too mobile and too skilled to let “The Road Warrior” turn it into a brawl as he did in their first fight. Scores were 115-113, 115-113, 117-111.

In a clash for the vacant WBO Interim junior middleweight championship, Alfredo Angulo (17-1, 14 KOs) scored a devastating third round knockout of previously unbeaten Harry Joe Yorgey (22-1-1, 10 KOs). Angulo dealt Yorgey a fearsome beating, dropping him in round two and twice in round three. Time was 1:03. Yorgey was down for several minutes.

Welterweight Orlando Lora (26-0-1, 18 KOs) won an eight round unanimous decision over Octavio Narvaez (7-8-1, 4 KOs) by scores of 77-75 twice and 78-75. Fans booed heavily as Narvaez gave as good as he got and fought hard in a seemingly close bout.

Middleweight KO Artist Tyrone Brunson (21-0-1, 20 KOs) did it again, knocking out Jose Medina (15-16, 11 KOs) in round three.

Michael Oliveira (9-0, 7 KOs) remained undefeated when Francisco Osorio (12-7, 10 KOs) refused to come out for the 8th and final round.

Unbeaten bantamweights Chris Avalos (13-0, 10 KOs) won a unanimous eight round decision over Robert DaLuz (12-22-3, 9 KOs).

Heavyweight Emad Ali moved to 3-0, 3 KOs after a first round TKO over Kelsey Arnold (1-4-2).
