According to Ernesto Castellanos of Esto.com.mx, former world champion Israel Vazquez (44-4, 32 KOs) and his manager Frank Espinoza have accepted terms by Vazquez’ promoter Golden Boy Promotions for a fourth bout with former world champion Rafael Marquez (38-5, 34 KOs). However, Golden Boy must now come to terms with Vazquez’ promoter Gary Shaw for the fight to happen. The bout is being proposed for February or March of 2010 with the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California and MGM Grand of Las Vegas, Nevada as possible sites for the fight. Marquez/Vazquez have had three epic bouts with Vazquez leading the series 2-1.
