World rated super middleweight contender Edison “Pantera” Miranda (33-4, 29 KOs) again showed why he’s one of the most feared punchers in boxing on Thursday night at the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino in Lemoore, CA. Miranda knocked out Mexican super middleweight champion Francisco “Panchito” Sierra (20-3, 19 KOs) with a short right to the temple in round one to claim the NABO super middleweight championship. The time was 2:16 when Miranda sent Sierra pitching forward to the canvas for the full count. Miranda was making his debut under the Goossen Tutor banner.
WBC #4 heavyweight Manny “El Toro” Quezada (29-4, 19 KOs) defeated Nicolai Firtha (16-7-1, 7 KOs) in a hotly contested ten rounder by scores of 98-92, 97-93, 99-91. Local favorite Quezada has now won 18 straight bouts.
Welterweight Mike Dallas Jr. (11-0, 2 KOs) cruised to a six round nod over Sergio De La Torre (11-13-3, 1 KO).
