Light heavyweight Jürgen Brähmer (34-2, 28 KOs) has claimed the WBO interim light heavyweight championship with an eleventh round TKO over previously unbeaten Aleksy Kuziemski (17-1, 4 KOs) on Saturday night at the Syma Sport & Leisure Center in Budapest, Hungary. Brähmer dropping Kuziemski in rounds two, three and five with huge left hands to the chin. The game Kuziemski survived the knockdowns, but Brähmer showed good technical skills as he patiently broke down Kuziemski further as the bout progressed. 39 seconds into round eleven, Brähmer again caught Kuziemski with a tremendous shot on the chin that rolled Kuziemski’s eyes back, prompting Kuziemski’s corner to throw in the towel. The “100 Year Talent” Brähmer claimed a world title just nine months after his defeat against then WBA champ Hugo Hernan Garay. He is now headed for a showdown with longtime WBO champion Zsolt Erdei.
