Guerrero defeats Hinojosa

Former IBF featheright champion Robert Guerrero (24-1-1, 17 KOs) stopped late sub Efren Hinojosa (30-6-1, 17 KOs) via eighth round TKO in a lightweight clash on Friday night at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. Guerrero pretty much had his way with the 37-year-old veteran, who was very game until the bout was stopped between rounds eight and nine after Hinojosa suffered an arm injury.

Unbeaten heavyweight Ashanti Jordan (10-0, 7 KOs) lumbered to a six round majority decision over Andrae Carthron (2-2-1, 1 KO). Scores were 59-55, 59-55, 57-57.

Unbeaten junior welterweight Danny Garcia (13-0, 8 KOs) scored a second round knockout over Pavel Miranda (18-4, 10 KOs). Garcia knocked down Miranda twice before the bout was stopped at :56 of the second.
