Carl Froch will defend his WBC super-middleweight title against Kelly Pavlik early in 2010, according to the founder and Chairman of Top Rank promotions Bob Arum. Speaking today on Setanta Sports News, Arum revealed the news. He said: “That is absolutely true. Todd duBoef of Top Rank has discussed that fight and yesterday we met with HBO and talked about Pavlik fighting Felix Sturm in the fall; and then early as next year, perhaps as early as the end of January, fighting Froch.” Since his defeat of Jermain Taylor in April, Froch has been linked with every marquee fighter in his division.
