25 year old heavyweight prospect from Croatia Mario Preskar (15-0-2, 10 ÊÎs) who fights under colors of «K2 East Promotions» will clash against very experienced Russian fighter Daniil «Shrek» Peretyatko (16-21-0, 6 ÊÎs) in eight-rounder. The fight is scheduled for May 30th at «Comeback Fight» boxing tournament to be held in Kyiv Sport Palace, Ukraine. In the main event of this tournament Zaurbek Baysangurov (20-1, 15 KOs), former EBU (European) light middleweight champion will fight Italian Cristian De Martinis (22-2, 10 ÊÎs) for vacant WBA Inter-Continental light middleweight belt.

Preskar, formerly regular sparring partner of Klitschko brothers helped Vitali before the latter’s bout against Sam Peter and worked with Wladimir too – before Wlad’s fight against Hasim Rahman. Preskar proved out his boxing and fighting skills and Klitschkos’ promotional company «K2 East Promotions» signed him in.

Preskar’s rival Peretyatko is a vivid person well-known all over the boxing rings of Europe as one of the most experienced, firm and uncompromising journeymen. Daniil fought many strong heavyweights from Germany, United Kingdom, France and Scandinavia and many of them had to do their best in order to overcome sturdy Russian. Peretyatko suffered large majority of his losses either in close fights or he was judged unfairly. Only six fighters managed to stop him early, however, out of which three fights were stopped due to his cuts.

In his last fight on May 2nd in England Peretyatko caused a sensation by defeating then unbeaten Larry Olubamiwo from Nigeria. Olubamiwo, a 265 pound giant won all his previous fights by KOs in rounds 1 or 2. Nigerian was considered a heavyweight prospect and stepped into the ring against Peretyatko as a huge favorite.

One year ago Daniil got a win over another unbeaten fighter – Scott Belshaw, 201 cm giant from the United Kingdom. Thus, Peretyatko, not being a genius of boxing, is a hard nut to crack at the same time. The fight against him will not be easy for Preskar by all means.

Besides, Peretyatko is also famous as a true showman in the ring for whom boxing is not only hard labor but a pleasure as well. Daniil «Shrek» Peretyatko will fight in Kyiv for the second time in his career – in April of 2006 in the same ring of Kyiv Sport Palace he lost to Aldo Colliander from Sweden by way of TKO.
