We have done this,” said WBA bantamweight world champion Anselmo Moreno after his split decision win over former champion Wladimir Sidorenko on Saturday night. “I am very satisfied. Wladimir fought hard – if it is wished, I’m open to a third fight!” Trainer Michael Timm represented the deeply disappointed Sidorenko at the press conference: “Moreno had to show something and for me he didn’t win the fight. Wladimir made the fight and won clearly. He hunted Moreno around the ring and Moreno was only in reverse gear. I can’t add any more – we are very disappointed!”
