On April 10th in Donetsk Sportpalace «Druzhba» WBA welterweight champ Yuriy Nuzhnenko (28-0-1, 13 KOs) of Kyiv-based «K2 East Promotions» promotional company will defend his belt against another Ukrainian fighter Vyacheslav Senchenko (28-0-0, 20 KOs) of «Union Boxing Promotion» from Donetsk. On March 10th presser was held in Donetsk dedicated to signing of contract. CEOs of both biggest Ukrainian promotional companies – «K2 East Promotions» and «Union Boxing Promotion» took part in the ceremony: Yuri Ruban, president of «Union Boxing Promotion», Dmitri Yeliseev, member of Ukrainian National Olympic Committee, Vadim Bukhkalov, president of «K2 East Promotions», and, of course, both protagonists of the upcoming slugfest – WBA welterweight champ Yuriy Nuzhnenko and official contender for his title Vyacheslav Senchenko.

That will be the first world title bout in Ukraine in which two Ukrainians will fight each other. Both Nuzhnenko and Senchenko know each other quite well and for a long time – in 1992 they both were invited to national amateur junior team, however, this time in the ring there will be uncompromising rivalry between old mates for WBA welterweight crown.
