Maidana sure he’ll beat Kotelnik!

Unbeaten WBA #1 Super Lightweight Marcos Maidana from Argentina said on Thursday that he is confident that he will take the title away from current champion Andreas Kotelnik when the two meet next Saturday 7 in Rostock, Germany. “I always feel myself the favorite to win my fights, so I don’t care what oddmakers and others think about it.” The KO artist Maidana, 25, offered a crowded press conference on Thursday in Buenos Aires before embarking towards Germany and said that “I’m prepared for whatever Kotelnik will bring. I have a high respect for him, but this is my turn to become a world champ. That’s why I had a great training camp during over two months. Kotelnik has good boxing skills. If he decides to walk the ring, I’ll follow him until I catch him. If he decides to trade punches, instead, even better for me. Whatever he will do, I won’t let this chance go away,” Maidana added. Maidana is considered the greatest prospect in Argentina’s boxing and has an impressive record of 25 wins (24 KOs) and no losses. Kotelnik has 30 victories (13 KOs), 2 losses and 1 draw.
