Floyd Mayweather Jr. Plans Return For Manny Pacquiao

According to some of the Mayweather family members, Floyd Mayweather Jr. is already planning to return to the ring to challenge Manny Pacquiao. Family members told Mayweather's hometown paper, the Grand Rapids Press, that Floyd Jr. advised some of them of his comeback plan moments after Pacquiao stopped Oscar De La Hoya in eight rounds in Las Vegas last Saturday night.

Janelle Mayweather, Floyd's cousin, said the fighter called her and disclosed his plans to return and and hook back up with his father, Floyd Sr. The two have not worked together since a 2001 dispute. Floyd's uncle Roger has trained him since the dispute. According to Janelle, Floyd wants to use his both his father and uncle for the fight.

"My niece said my son told her he wanted to fight Pacquiao next, and that he wants me to train him for the fight," Mayweather Sr. said to the paper.

Fatimah Mayweather, the Floyd's sister, also told the paper that he brother contacted her and said that he plans to return and plans to use the services of his father.

Leonard Ellerbe, Mayweather's adviser, did not return calls to confirm or deny the information, but Mayweather Sr. told the paper that his son called and left a message on Monday.
