Today participants of «Steel Power II» fought with the scales at the official weigh-in.
Big boxing tournament «Steel Power II» will be held on November 15th in Kyiv Sports Palace. It is organized by «K2 East Promotions» promotional company with the support of world famous vodka brand «Nemiroff» and «Inter» media-group.
In the main event Vyacheslav Uzelkov (19-0, 12 KOs), WBA Inter-Continental light heavyweight champion and one of the key boxers of «K2 East Promotions» will defend his title against Alejandro Lakatos (29-4-2, 22 KOs) from Romania. In case Uzelkov is victorious he will get the right for a world title fight.
Vyacheslav Uzelkov did not have any problems at the scales: he weighed 78.95 kg – less than light heavyweight limit of 79.4 kg. However, Alejandro Lakatos could not make weight at the first try – the scales under him showed 79.75 kg. According to WBA rules he was given 2 hours to get rid of overweight.
Vladimir Chanturia (12-0, 8 KOs) and his namesake Vladimir Lazebnik (13-0, 8 KOs), two unbeaten heavyweights, who will clash on the undercard of «Steel Power II», showed 110.5 kg and 107.8 kg respectively.
