Vyacheslav Uzelkov (19-0, 12 KOs), WBA Inter-Continental light heavyweight champion and one of the key boxers of «K2 East Promotions» promotional company will defend his title on November 15th. On that day in Kyiv Sports Palace «K2EP» will carry out the ninth boxing tournament this year already. Uzelkov will face Alejandro Lakatos (29-4-2, 22 KOs) from Romania. In case Uzelkov is victorious he will get the right for a world title fight against the winner of the bout in which on November 22nd in Germany Hugo Hernan Garay (31-3, 17 KOs), WBA light heavyweight champ, will clash with challenger Juergen Braehmer (31-1, 25 KOs).
Alejandro Lakatos is 34 years old. He was born in Romania but now lives in Madrid, Spain. Lakatos started his boxing career in 1997 and by now twice fought for world titles, however, lost both times. In 2001 Alejandro was KO’d n the ninth round by Dariusz Michalczewski and in 2004 Lakatos lost the fight with Zsolt Erdei by judges’ unanimous decision. In 2003 Lakatos fought Hugo Hernan Garay and was stopped by the current WBA light heavyweight champion in round 12.
