Undefeated IBF super middleweight champion Lucien Bute (23-0, 18 KOs) barely made the second defense of his title against #1 ranked challenger Librado Andrade (27-2, 21 KOs) on Friday night at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. Bute battered the iron-jawed Andrade for most the fight, dropping him in round ten. Bute chose to slug it out with Andrade in round twelve and paid the price as Andrade caught him and nearly had Bute out, dropping the champion with two seconds left. A badly hurt Bute barely beat the count and the bell rang before Andrade could finish him. Scores were 115-110, 117-109, 115-111.
