On October 11th in Berlin on the undercard of Vitali Klitschko – Samuel Peter fight Alexander Ustinov (13-0, 11 КОs), a heavyweight of «K2 East Promotions» promotional company, fought Julius Long (15-10, 13 KOs). Ustinov kayoed Long in round 1.

First two minutes of the bout did not reveal any dominance of either fighter. Ustinov tried time after time to hurt Long by one-two combos of jab and right cross but without any success. Julius Long was mainly passive jabbing occasionally and charged one sporadic attack.

With less than a minute left in the round Ustinov landed a good right and Long was obviously hurt. Ustinov smelled the blood and rushed to finish off his opponent, however, Long survived in a clinch. Ustinov continued his pressure and 26 seconds left in the round he again landed a perfect right which threw Long on the canvas. Shocked Long tried to rise to his feet at count «nine» but he evidently was unable to continue.

As we previously reported it is expected that Alexander Ustinov before long will, probably, fight for vacant EBA title (European branch of WBA). If Ustinov is victorious he will get his place among top 15 WBA fighters which will give him the right for title bout.
