Pressure for the October 11 heavyweight showdown, between WBC World Heavyweight champion Sam Peter (30-1, 23 KOs) and former champ, current WBC World Heavyweight Champion “Emeritus” Vitali Klitschko (35-2, 34 KOs), continued to mount today during a national teleconference. Both parties expressed confidence, vowing that they would leave the ring victorious on Oct. 11.

”The Klitschkos fight like robots,” said Peter. “Like big amateurs. But I am not a robot. I am a skilled fighter and a puncher. I will prove myself again on Oct. 11, that I am the true champion. He’s a good fighter, but he’s not a world champion—I don’t know why he keeps saying he is a champion. I will chop him down like a big tree.”

”I am so sorry, Samuel, but right now, I am going to take my title back,” countered Klitschko. “I have nothing against you, but I did not lose my title in the ring. Sam Peter is making a big mistake in fighting me.”
