Before the fight Ustinov kindly answered some questions of k2east.com:
- Alexander, did you manage to get videotapes of Castillo’s fight?
- Yes, I saw two his bouts – against Oleg Maskaev and Alexander Povetkin. So I took the print of his style and together with my trainer Wladimir Zadiran worked out the plan how to fight him.
- What’s your impression of Livin Castillo?
- A normal boxer, firm, with fighting character, he never keeps in the background before more famous opponents and aims to win. Of course, he is not big enough for a heavyweight but in the ring he compensates lack of size by his courage and aggression.
- Where and how did you prepare for this fight? What is your shape now?
- I trained in Minsk, and I found out the name of my opponent well in advance – two months before the fight. Training was successful. I am in perfect shape and perfect mood. I’m sure I’ll triumph in the ring.
